The Chaileybrook, Littlebrook and Fillybrook flocks were in top form at the Royal Bath and West Show, taking breed championships in all three sections as well as the reserve interbreed championship with our Southdown shearling ewe.

This gimmer, a daughter of French sire Sarkozy and out of a homebred Frog daughter was breed champion under judge Clive Davies before going on the champion native shortwool and then reserve interbreed champion under Tom Stayt.

Also faring well in the Southdown team were our aged tup, Tadpole, who won his class before being reserve breed champion, while our ram lamb also won his class. The shearling ewe and the aged tup then went on to win the pairs class.

Meanwhile, Sophie’s Littlebrook flock of Blue Texels was among the top prizes too, taking the breed championship with a Nantyderri shearling ram and reserve with a Beili shearling ewe.

Homebred ram lamb Littlebrook Astronaut and ewe lamb Littlebrook Abfab were also highly placed, while the shearling ram and shearling ewe own the pairs class and then went on to be reserve Continental interbreed pair.

Chrissie’s Fillybrook flock of Beltex won the Any Other Continental Breed section with a Woodies shearling ewe, with this gimmer picked out by judge Tim Prichard for her evenness of fleshing and style.
