This year’s Royal Three Counties Show saw our shearling ewe by Sarkozy take the breed championship under judge Gail Sprake, with this gimmer having previously been reserve champion at Royal Bath and West.

Our shearling ram was also top of his class, with our mid February-born ram lamb and ewe lamb standing third in their classes against early January-born lambs.

Little brook Biscuit, Sophie’s Blue Texel ewe lamb did herself proud too, taking sixth prize in a big class of lambs and praised by judge Russel Watkins for her breed character and style.

And easily the best result of the show came when Sophie herself shone in the young handlers competition, winning the class for handlers aged up to eight on the Friday of the show.
