We are delighted to introduce the latest stock sire to join the team at Chaileybrook, homebred ram lamb Chaileybrook Beaujolais 20/00678.

Sired by the homebred Chaileybrook 18/00278, himself a Percheron son out of an imported French ewe from the Thomas family’s flock, Beaujolais is out of a homebred Sarkozy daughter which is in turn out of the Golden Valley ewe we purchased at Daniel Bunting’s dispersal in 2015.

He was only surpassed in this year’s lamb crop by his maternal nephew, Chaileybrook Diablo 20/00666, which was sold to Annabel Halcrow for her Calley Castle flock earlier this summer. However, his outcross female lines on both his sire and dam’s sides mean he can be used extensively across a range of families within the Chaileybrook flock.

We have high hopes for this exciting lamb and he will be among the service sires for the in-lamb ewes forward at our Fantastic Fifty Production Sale in December.
