It was another sale topping day for the Chaileybrook flock at the Southdown Premier Sale, Worcester, when our shearling ram, Chaileybrook 19/00563, lead the trade at 820gns.
Sired by homebred sire Chaileybrook 13/0001 ‘Tadpole’, this shearling caught the eye of a number of breeders before being knocked down to commercial producers Roger and Tom Elliot, Northamptonshire.
Next best at 600gns was Chaileybrook 19/00560, a son of Chaileybrook 12/00011 with an exceptional carcass and stretch to him. He again sold to the Elliots.
And joining him on the trip to Northamptonshire was our final shearling, Chaileybrook 19/00555. This is another Tadpole son out of the flock’s top ewe Chailebrook 15/00010. He went away at 500gns.
