The Winter Fair season was one of the most successful ever for the Chaileybrook flock, with lambs from the flock taking the native championship at Agri-Fest South West, The English Winter Fair and the Royal Welsh Winter Fair.

The winning lambs at all three events were sired by the homebred Chaileybrook Beaujolais and remained an unchanged pair throughout the show season, achieving unprecedented success.

At each show the pair won the Southdown breed class before going on to take the native championship and, at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair, the Purebred Lowland championship too.

At the Royal Welsh Winter Fair championship judge Paul Slater, Macclesfield, praised the lambs for their superb loins and evenness of fleshing, this pair tipped the scales at a combined weight of 87.5kg and are both sired by the homebred Chaileybrook Beaujolais.
